About Our Website

We are based on the beautiful west coast of Scotland, and this coastal landscape, in particular, with its iconic views of Arran, has provided the inspiration (and some of the raw materials!) for our art and crafts. However, all the artwork on our site has a common theme and is a celebration of the light and the colours and the textures and the atmosphere of the waters surrounding and within Scotland.
Our website highlights detail from a selection of sea glass and sea pottery pictures. At present, these pictures can be purchased from the Of Seas and Shores Etsy shop.

We also offer a collection of artwork by local Ayrshire artist AC Morrice and this can be purchased through the website. Visit our shop.

Soon, we hope to offer other coastal themed art and crafts too.
Sea Glass and Sea Pottery

I collect my sea glass and sea pottery on local Ayrshire beaches and, other than washing, it doesn't undergo any other enhancing process. I love the fact that each piece has its own history that we don't even know. It had another life before its time in the sea. I love that creating a picture with it gives it a new life. And I love the random shapes and forms and textures that the sea has produced and the beautiful colours and effects created when light shines on the glass.

Pastel
I am a self taught artist living on the coast of south west Scotland where the light and scenery, along with the variable weather, provide an endless source of inspiration. I work mainly in pastel but sometimes use acrylic and oil, which are all of artist quality, as are the surfaces I use.
